This World is Like A Forest

SA08 - Keep Following Jehovah's Guidance

Mature trees towered above like ancient monuments, their branches intertwining to form a natural fortress. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and every step seemed to sink deeper into the unknown. It was in the heart of this dense forest, where sunlight struggles to penetrate the thick canopy above, that a man named Jarell found himself lost.

To the right and left, wild animals prowled in the shadows, their eyes gleaming with primal hunger, while disease-carrying insects buzzed around, their incessant whine a constant reminder of unseen dangers. Poisonous plants lurked in the undergrowth, their vibrant colors, and thick thorns a deceptive mask for deadly toxins. And the terrain, unforgiving and treacherous, threatened to trip up even the most experienced hiker.

Jarell had ventured into the forest with an adventurous spirit, his heart filled with the thrill of exploration. He had set out with confidence, eager to uncover the secrets hidden within the tangled undergrowth. But as he delved deeper into the wilderness, his sense of direction became clouded by the maze of trees and shifting shadows. Each twist and turn seemed to lead him further from the path he had initially followed, until he found himself ensnared in the intensity of the forest, lost amidst its towering trees.

Within this daunting landscape, fear wrapped its icy fingers around Jarell's heart. Every rustle of leaves, every snap of a twig, sent shivers down his spine. He felt small and vulnerable, a mere speck in the vast expanse of wilderness.

As Jarell stumbled through the dense underbrush, his senses heightened by the constant threat of danger, he suddenly froze at the sound of approaching footsteps. Heart pounding, he braced himself for a confrontation, fearing the worst—a stalking predator lurking in the shadows. But as the figure emerged into the faint light filtering through the trees, his initial fear gave way to cautious curiosity. The stranger's presence radiated reassurance and strength. It was a guide, an experienced navigator of these perilous woods.

As they got closer, the stranger's features softened by the gentle glow, revealing not the snarling expression of a predator, but the reassuring features of a potential ally. With each step closer, Jarell felt a glimmer of hope ignite within him, daring to believe that perhaps, within the darkness of the forest, he had found someone who could guide him to safety.

With a gentle smile, the guide extended a hand to Jarell, offering guidance and protection. He had seen it all before and knew the dangers that lurked in every shadow, the pitfalls that lay hidden beneath the forest floor. Since he knew every snare, he also knew the way out, the path that led to safety and salvation.

And so, hand in hand, Jarell and his guide ventured forth throughout the wilderness. With each step, they moved closer to freedom, leaving behind the dangers that had once threatened to consume them. Through the darkest of nights and the thickest of underbrush, the guide never wavered. His presence was a steady hand to hold onto when all seemed lost.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they emerged from the forest into the warm embrace of sunlight. The air was sweet with the scent of freedom, and the sky stretched out endlessly above them.

Turning to his guide, Jarell felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude wash over him. For he knew that without his guidance, he would still be lost in the middle of the dangers of the forest.

As Jarell and his guide emerged from the depths of the forest, their journey filled with danger but ultimately guided by trust and companionship, he found himself embraced by the warmth of the sunlight. So appreciative to have found the way out. In the same way, much depends on how we respond to the guidance Jehovah provides us now. Let’s heed His wisdom and the counsel of those appointed to watch over us. Just as Jarell depended on his guide, we have every reason to trust in Jehovah, our ultimate Guide, as He leads us away from spiritual peril and towards our ultimate destination—everlasting life in the new world.

Haha Ashlee, Many of the friends have requested that I do these before the WT study, so I’m accommodating by issuing the Crossword Puzzle BEFORE the meeting. 😂 Enjoy!
