SA44 - How to Cope With Injustice
Coping with injustice involves responding with patience and avoiding actions that could make matters worse, as illustrated by Jesus’ story of the persistent widow seeking justice. Jehovah cares deeply about how we are treated and assures us that, in due time, He will bring about justice, helping us endure unfairness with wisdom and following Jesus’ example.
___________________________________________________________________________
- Jesus’ Example: Jesus taught to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21), and he illustrated this through a widow persistently seeking justice, emphasizing the need to respond to injustice in a positive way.
- Common Injustice: Prejudice, inequality, and oppression are prevalent, and even fellow believers might misjudge us. However, they are imperfect, and patience is needed, just as we should be patient with others who treat us unfairly.
- Jehovah’s Care: Jehovah deeply cares about how we are treated and loves justice (Psalm 37:28). He will bring justice at the right time, undoing all harm caused by injustice (Psalm 72:1, 2).

BE CAREFUL ABOUT HOW YOU REACT TO INJUSTICE
- Emotional Pain: Injustice may deeply hurt, but we must avoid reacting impulsively. Job and Habakkuk, who suffered injustice, also had emotional pain but reacted wisely (Ecclesiastes 7:7; Job 6:2, 3; Habakkuk 1:1-3).
- Taking Matters Into Our Own Hands: Taking vengeance or trying to correct injustice ourselves can worsen the situation, as seen with Absalom’s reaction to his sister Tamar’s assault (2 Samuel 13:20-23).
- Questioning Justice: Like the psalmist, we might be troubled by seeing the wicked prosper, but we must trust that Jehovah will set things right in His time (Psalm 73:12-16).

IMITATE HOW JESUS COPED WITH INJUSTICE- Jesus’ Endurance: Jesus experienced unjust treatment from family, religious leaders, and Roman soldiers, yet he endured without retaliating (Mark 3:21, 22; 14:55; 15:16-20, 35-37).
- A Perfect Model: Jesus left a perfect example of how to endure injustice with self-control and by entrusting himself to Jehovah, who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:21-23).
- Handling Unjust Treatment: When faced with injustice, we can imitate Jesus by being careful with our words, responding with calm and respect when necessary (Matthew 26:62-64; Ecclesiastes 3:7; James 1:19, 20).

TRUST JEHOVAH’S TIMING AND JUSTICE
- Entrusting Ourselves to Jehovah: Jesus showed us the importance of trusting Jehovah for justice rather than taking matters into our own hands (Romans 12:19). Jehovah promises to handle injustices in His time, relieving us of the burden (Romans 12:19; Psalm 37:8).
- Conquering Evil with Good: Just as Jesus prayed for those who mistreated him, we should pray for those who wrong us. This can reduce resentment, change our view of the offender, and bring peace of mind (Luke 23:34; Matthew 5:44).
___________________________________________________________________________
CONTINUE TO PRAY AND APPLY BIBLE PRINCIPLES- Power of Prayer: Prayer was key for individuals like Alberto and John to cope with injustice, allowing them to forgive and view their offenders more objectively (1 Peter 3:8, 9).
- Endurance through Prayer: As we continue to face challenges in this unjust world, we must keep praying to Jehovah for help and imitate Jesus’ response to mistreatment, trusting in Jehovah’s blessing for those who endure.
-Soli Jehova Gloria (1 Corinthians 10:31)

I came here to see if SA-45 was available. Then reread SA-44. Great work Brother. Thank you.
Great lesson. Nice summary. Thank you.
It’s so hard for me to pray for those who’ve wronged me, but it helps me let go of the anger and feel more at peace.
Very good article
