SA05 - How We Benefit From Jehovahs LoveSA04 - What Does the Ransom Teach Us?

Jehovah has lovingly given us the ransom through his Son, and he is pleased when we show gratitude by valuing this precious gift. To avoid taking it for granted, we must regularly renew our appreciation and reflect on how it benefits us now and in the future, especially during the Memorial season.

HOW WE BENEFIT NOW

  • Jehovah forgives our sins based on Christ’s ransom, showing his deep love and kindness. (Psalm 86:5; 103:3, 10-13)
  • We do not earn Jehovah’s mercy—it is a free gift, not a reward for our faithfulness. (Galatians 2:21; Hebrews 6:10)
  • Paul worked hard in Jehovah’s service not to prove himself deserving but out of appreciation for God’s undeserved kindness. (Ephesians 3:7)
  • The ransom allows us to have a close, personal relationship with Jehovah, enjoying peace with him. (Romans 5:1; James 2:23)
  • Prayer is a privilege made possible by the ransom, allowing us to communicate with Jehovah and deepen our friendship with him. (Psalm 65:2; James 4:8; 1 John 5:14)

HOW WE CAN BENEFIT IN THE FUTURE

    • Faithful worshippers will be granted everlasting life, fulfilling Jehovah’s original purpose for mankind. (Romans 8:32)
    • The anointed will rule with Christ in heaven, while the other sheep will enjoy everlasting life on a paradise earth. (Revelation 20:6; 21:3, 4)
    • Paradise will bring joy, peace, and endless opportunities to learn, build, and cultivate the earth. (Isaiah 35:1; 65:21)
    • We will welcome back resurrected ones, and worship Jehovah without guilt, enjoying life as he originally intended. (Acts 24:15; Hebrews 11:25)

    RESPOND TO JEHOVAH’S LOVE
    • Give Jehovah’s work priority in life, living for him rather than ourselves. (Matthew 6:33; 2 Corinthians 5:15)
    • Exercise faith in Jehovah’s direction when making decisions about education, work, and life choices. (1 Corinthians 10:31; 2 Corinthians 5:7)
    • Use the Memorial season to show gratitude by attending and inviting others to the Memorial. (1 Timothy 2:4)
    • Welcome new ones at the Memorial, helping them feel at home. (Romans 12:13)
    • Increase spiritual activities during the Memorial season, strengthening faith and appreciation for the ransom. (1 Corinthians 3:9)

Thanks to the ransom, fewer people feel distant from Him and that’s such a beautiful thought.

I love reading everyone’s comments—so heartfelt and encouraging! It really shows how the ransom moves us all deeply and draws us closer together as a spiritual family. Just like the article said, because of the ransom, we can enjoy peace with God and truly feel connected to Him and one another.
