SA43 - How to Overcome Doubts
This article addresses doubts that can unsettle our service to Jehovah, such as questioning our value to Him or the wisdom of past decisions. It emphasizes that focusing on Bible principles can help resolve these doubts and strengthen our faith in Jehovah’s care and guidance.
- Doubts can affect people of all ages and are not necessarily an indication of a lack of faith in Jehovah.
- These doubts often revolve around uncertainty about our value to Jehovah or the wisdom of past decisions.
- Leaving such questions unanswered can harm our worship, but focusing on Bible principles can help resolve doubts.

HOW TO RESOLVE YOUR DOUBTS
- Turn to God's Word for answers, as it helps to grow spiritually and stand firm in the faith (1 Corinthians 16:13).
- The Bible encourages us to “make sure of all things” by comparing beliefs with what the Bible says (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
- Focus your Bible reading on specific concerns, and use study tools provided by Jehovah’s organization to find answers (Proverbs 2:3-6).
- Attend meetings regularly, as talks or comments may provide just the guidance needed to overcome doubts (Proverbs 27:17).

WHEN YOU DOUBT THAT JEHOVAH IS INTERESTED IN YOU
- Jehovah notices even those who seem insignificant to others, such as when He chose David, the youngest son of Jesse (1 Samuel 16:6-12).
- Jehovah offers personalized guidance and knows you deeply (Psalm 32:8; Psalm 139:1).
- As you apply His advice, you will become more convinced of Jehovah’s interest in you (1 Chronicles 28:9; Acts 17:26, 27).

WHEN YOU DOUBT THAT YOUR PAST DECISIONS WERE WISE
- You may feel uncertain about past sacrifices, such as giving up a career to serve Jehovah. However, consider the long-term blessings Jehovah promises for those who prioritize spiritual things (Psalm 73:16-18; Psalm 145:16).
- It is impossible to know how your life would have turned out with different decisions, but those who love God and their neighbor never miss out on anything truly good.

WHEN YOU DOUBT THAT YOU ARE USEFUL TO JEHOVAH
- Even if you feel limited due to age, health, or disability, Jehovah still values your service (Psalm 71:9, 18; Psalm 92:12-15).
- Focus on what you can do, such as strengthening others through your example, prayers, and encouraging words (1 Peter 3:12).
- Resist comparing yourself with others; Jehovah values all acts of faithful service, no matter how small they may seem (Galatians 6:4).
JEHOVAH’S WORD CAN HELP YOU TO OVERCOME DOUBTS
- Jehovah is interested in you and offers His support: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).
- Jehovah treasures your decision to serve Him, and He will reward you (Proverbs 23:15; Hebrews 13:5).
- Jehovah appreciates all that you do for Him, and He will not forget your faithful service (Deuteronomy 16:17; Hebrews 6:10).
-Soli Jehova Gloria (1 Corinthians 10:31)

I appreciated Hebrews 13:5 quoted in the box. No need to doubt decision of putting kingdom interests first
It’s so easy to get discouraged when I compare my life to others, but this message from Jehovah at Psalm 73 reminded me of something important. His blessings are secure, eternal, and far greater than anything temporary this world could provide.
I needed really this one. Regrets linger sometimes.
